During the 2008 recession, boat manufacturers shifted from producing 100% 19-foot "ski boats" to 20-foot "family boats."

These longer boats, equating to greater volume, consequently became much heavier. In order to achieve 36 mph / 58 km/h, the transition was made from using 5 or 5.3-liter engines to 6 and even 6.2-liter engines.

The increased volume, weight, and these larger engines result in higher fuel consumption. Notably, boat prices have doubled in less than 10 years, averaging $110,000 USD.

Alahua Boats is on the verge of completing its first prototype: "pista01" – a 100% ski boat that is 20% lighter.

Featuring several innovations, the "pista01" is centrally steered for an enhanced track experience with room for the pilot and two passengers. It incorporates dual side-mounted gas tanks for improved balance, enabling quicker acceleration and reduced wake.

The boat operates at 400 rpm less than competitor boats, resulting in approximately 20% longer engine life and reduced fuel consumption.

Equipped with:

Zero Off

Sure Path*

Hard Top*

PCM 5.3L H5 engine with 355 horsepower and 405 lb. ft. of torque

The smoothest wake in the market.

Starting at $89,000 USD, "pista01" will be certified for tournaments by the IWSF. In 2024, Alahua Boats plans to manufacture two boats, "pista EAJ" and "pista03" (still available), and five boats in 2025. If you're interested in skiing with pista01, feel free to contact us.
